OLED / PLED Getter Machine

This unit is designed to paste solid getter sheets onto a cover glass with engraved cavities. The cover glass is loaded into the getter mounting unit and is received by lifting pins. Prior to getter mounting the cover glass is aligned in x-y direction and fixed to the stage by vacuum suction. The getter sheets are picked up from the reel whereas one pasting head can handle three getter sheets at once. Two getter heads accomplish the pasting – in case one head is down the other can cover the entire cover glass area. After pasting a ‘control and retry‘ software checks if each cavity contains a getter sheet. In case getter sheets are missing additional sheets are picked up and pasted into the empty cavities. Getter reels are transferred into the enclosure by means of the main antechamber and are mounted replaced manually.

The Getter Mounting Unit has the following system features:

Pasting heads (each head can pick up 3 sheets at once) – flat type and curved type available
Stepping motor to move pasting heads
Cylinder drive for vertical pasting head movement
Repeatability of sheet mounting < ± 2,0 mm
x-y-stage (aluminum, servomotor drive, anti-adhesion surface, lead pitch of 20 [mm], 600 [mm/s] maximum speed; glass fixation by vacuum suction 600 [mbar]
-stage (rotation 0° to 90°; cylinder drive, tilt adjustment function)
glass delivery utilizing lift pins with cylinder drive
alignment by pushing with cylinder drive driven pins (Teflon) to standard fixed pins (stainless steel 1.4125); pressure is adjustable
pin alignment accuracy ± 100 µm
stage rotation accuracy ± 0,5 deg
